RFH Students Shine in Jazz Combo and Vocal Concert –

Spring Concert and Art Show Slated for Evening of May 28th

Rumson – Hard work, creativity, and abundant talent were driving forces behind the enthralling performances at the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Jazz Combo and Vocal Concert.

A variety of musical selections were presented by RFH jazz musicians and vocalists on the evening of May 18th in the high school’s auditorium.

Performers and their musical selections included –

  • Stephen Appezzato, Calvin Bruno, Anthony Paolantonio, and Karl Pfiel (“Watermelon Man” by Herbie Hancock, “Yesterday” by Lennon/McCartney, and “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
  • Paddy Ahimovic, J.C. Liang, and Tristan Sickles (“Someone to Watch Over Me” by George Gershwin)
  • Danny Alegria, Land Barnum, Joseph Monte, John Phelan, Tristan Sickles, and Emma Singleton (“Autumn Leaves” by Kosma/Mercer/Prevert and “Blues by Five” by Miles Davis)
  • Paddy Ahimovic, Chris Fahey, Tristan Sickles, and Kevin Witterschein (“Moondance” by Van Morrison)

Up next for the accomplished art and music students at RFH is the annual “Night of the Arts” – featuring the spring concert and a student art exhibit – scheduled for Thursday, May 28th.

The art exhibit – including classroom work in a variety of mediums plus portfolios by RFH seniors – will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the RFH Upper Gymnasium.

The spring concert features performances by the RFH Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chorus, String Ensemble, and Solo Acts. It will begin at 7 p.m. in the RFH Auditorium.

The “Night of the Arts” is free of charge and open to the general public.
