Evening of Jazz Performances at RFH

Set for Wednesday, February 19

First-of-Its-Kind “Jazz Combos Concert” Will Feature

Vocal and Instrumental Performances by Student Musicians

Rumson — Vocal and instrumental jazz performances by student musicians will be in the spotlight as Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School presents its inaugural “Jazz Combos Concert” on Wednesday, February 19 at 7 p.m.

Admission is free for the event, which will be held in the RFH auditorium.

“Jazz combos provide the opportunity to explore improvisation on a much more personal level,” said RFH Music Director Bill Grillo. “As opposed to the big band setting, which allows select opportunities for improvisation, the jazz combo environment truly highlights the unique qualities of each student musician.”

The evening will feature a wide range of jazz standards, re-imagined popular selections, and much more.

“We have worked hard to ensure that each combo has a unique personality developed through a true collaborative environment,” said Grillo. “Our first-ever Jazz Combos Concert will highlight this collaboration.”

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School is located at 74 Ridge Road in Rumson, New Jersey.
