RFH “6″ Art Exhibit
April 22nd, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — April 19, 2013
Rumson — If you are looking for a welcoming place that features fabulous original
artwork, “6″ is the number to keep in mind.
From April 18 through April 30, the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury is featuring
the artwork of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students in an exhibition
entitled “6″. The six showcased students, all RFH seniors and participants in the
Advanced Placement Studio Art Class, are Elise Dixon, Charlotte Eisenstadt, Jack
Lawler, Sophie Litwin, Emily MacCloud, and Maggie Oberle. A majority of the students’
creations, including paintings, prints, drawings, ceramic sculpture, and jewelry, will be
available for purchase.
“These students are great creative thinkers and I love to see what is, for them, the
culmination of years of arts education,” said RFH Art Teacher Kate Okeson, who
has been instructing many of the students since their freshman year. “Their work
demonstrates not just technical skill, but individual perspectives and concepts that are
the result of hard work and dedication.”
The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge.
The Guild of Creative Art is a non-profit organization dedicated to the visual arts.
Its gallery is located at 620 Broad Street in Shrewsbury and is open Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 732-741-1441 or
