RFH Hosts Visitors from

Sister School in Avila, Spain

Rumson — RFH recently hosted visitors from its Sister School in Avila, Spain. 

Sixteen students and two chaperones from Isabel de Castilla visited RFH from February 25th through March 4th. The group’s accommodations were graciously provided by RFH families and staff members.

The students and their chaperones enjoyed an excursion to New York City and as well as a tour of Philadelphia hosted by RFH students.

At RFH, the Isabel de Castilla students shadowed RFH students for two days and spent a day making presentations to classes. A dinner in their honor at was held at St. Georges by the River Church in Rumson and hosted by student members of the RFH Cooking Club along with club advisors Cassie Fallon, Lauren Grumbach, and Linda Murray.

Members of the visiting group also attended the always-popular RFH “Languapalooza” event and the “Empty Bowls” fundraiser benefitting the Food Bank of Monmouth County.

The visit to RFH was initiated by Spanish Teacher Christina Gauss and organized with assistance from RFH Supervisor of World Languages Seth Herman.

The Spanish students and chaperones were pleased with their warm welcome and wonderful experience.

RFH is planning a similar visit to Isabel de Castilla during the 2017-18 school year.
