FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — May 8, 2013

Rumson — The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School clock tower will be awash
in pink lights and the school’s entrance will be sporting pink embellishments during the
third week in May. And while the pink decor may be pleasing to the eye, the events
taking place inside the school building are also at the heart of the RFH community’s
support for a very worthy cause.

Every year since 2006, May has been designated “Paint the Town Pink” month by
Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. This event, created to publicize the need for
yearly mammograms and to raise funds for breast cancer research, grows in scope
and popularity each year thanks in large part to the participation of surrounding
communities.

As in years past, the RFH School Community will be lending considerable support
to “Paint the Town Pink.” Student Government Association President Shelby Sabat and
Class of 2013 President Amy Littleson have worked with the RFH Health Club and the
Club’s Advisor, RFH School Nurse Linda Nill, to spearhead a number of activities taking
place at RFH from May 20 to 24.

For example, the Student Government Association is creating pink ribbon pins that
faculty members will wear to show their Pink Pride. The RFH Health Club will be selling
T-shirts and Pink Pride hats. Pink wristbands will be available for purchase thanks to the
efforts of the RFH Class of 2013. The Class of 2014 will participate as well by hosting a
bake sale.

Lastly, Riverview Medical Center is encouraging supporters to decorate their cars as
well as their homes and businesses during this year’s “Paint the Town Pink” initiative.
In response, the RFH Class of 2013 and members of the National Honor Society will be
hosting a Car Painting fundraiser in which RFH seniors can have their cars decorated
with washable markers.

All of the funds raised by the activities at RFH will be donated to Riverview Medical
Center’s “Paint the Town Pink” campaign.
