RFH “Lend a Paw” – Dawgs helping Dawgs Benefit Concert

RFH “Lend A Paw” To Help Its Own
With December 11th Benefit Concert
When Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School re-opened on November 12th following “Super Storm Sandy,” many students and faculty members still did not have power in their homes. As the students filled the hallways, they began to realize that some of their classmates and teachers were not only without electric service but they were displaced from their homes…some indefinitely. From that realization the idea for a fundraising effort was born, and the result is a benefit concert scheduled for Tuesday, December 11 at 7 p.m. in the RFH auditorium.
With a nod to the Bulldog mascot, “Lend a Paw…Dawgs Helping Dawgs” is a fundraising effort sponsored by the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) which will assist RFH students and staff who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. The highlight of the event will be a concert featuring Tim McLoone & The Shirleys, which has been called “one of the best bands at the Jersey Shore.” Tim McLoone is a shore area philanthropist, entertainer, resident, and founder of the charitable group Holiday Express which spreads cheer and delivers material comforts to those in need. The concert lineup will be rounded out with performances by special guest acts including RFH students.
All ticket sales will directly benefit the fundraising effort, and prices are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will be available for purchase starting on Wednesday December 5 in the RFH Main Office and will also be available on the evening of the event. Doors open at 6:30pm.
School Superintendent Dr. Pete Righi said, “We cannot thank Tim enough for making time during this very busy season to come out and perform for the members of the RFH community.”
