Teens and Broadway Stars Set to Perform for

Covenant House-Asbury Park on April 14

Rumson – Night of FUTURE Broadway Stars, a very exciting musical event benefiting homeless youth in Asbury Park, will rock the auditorium at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School on Thursday, April 14 at 7 p.m. Night of FUTURE Broadway Stars will feature outstanding performers from seven high schools in Monmouth County. Also appearing will be talented young students from Kick Dance Studio and Lakehouse Music Academy.

In this unique “KIDS HELPING KIDS” event, teens will once again use their talent, passion and beautiful voices to show homeless youth in New Jersey they are not alone. Last year over 400 people attended Night of FUTURE Broadway Stars at RFH, raising over $30,000 for Covenant House and the homeless teens they serve.

“Last year was such an incredible event.” said Bill Grillo, RFH Music Director. “The feedback from all the students who participated was so positive, I am looking forward to directing again this year.” Rising young performers from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Colts Neck High School, Red Bank Regional High School, Howell High School, Freehold High School, Henry Hudson Regional High School, and Shore Regional High School will sing alongside acclaimed Broadway stars.

Teens and young adults from Covenant House will share their inspirational stories and sing on stage as well. “Each of our homeless kids comes to us with their own story, and we don’t turn any away,” said Sue Monteiro, Development Manager for Covenant House Asbury Park.

Covenant House is the largest privately-funded agency in New Jersey providing food, shelter, immediate crisis care, and an array of other important services to homeless youth between the ages of 18-21.
