Rumson – “The Faerie King’s Daughter,” an exuberant production promising fun for kids of all ages, will soon be landing onstage at RFH.
The RFH Tower Players have announced evening performances on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee performance on Sunday, November 22nd at 1 p.m.
“The Faerie King’s Daughter” tells the spellbinding story of what happens when four groups of residents – Fairies, Trolls, Humans, and Elves – interact in an unexpected way that changes life in the Fairy Glen forever.
Katie (Meghan McGuigan) is the Faerie King’s Daughter, a rebellious fairy who has no interest in fulfilling her legacy and leading the Tooth Fairy troupe. In an act of rebellion, she flies to the “human” world where she meets Max (Matt Hughes) and his sister Em (Alissa Zack).
Katie and Max are falling in love, but a “boon” – or wish – has been granted to the trolls, thanks to their fulfillment of a hundred-year-long promise to the humans. Unfortunately, Troll Queen Anfisa (Jenny Greener) has a long-standing grudge against Findbharr, the Faerie King (Calvin Bruno).
When Anfisa reveals her wish, Katie finds herself facing a difficult decision — but she does not have to face it alone. Her two best friends Mabel (Leigh Forsyth) and Gorwin (Josh Beacher) enlist the help of Max and Em in a mission to help courageous Katie retain her free spirit while saving the Fairy Glen.
A cast of 28 students is featured in this compelling performance which includes dancing, singing, and elaborate costumes.
Over 50 students are participating behind the scenes in costumes and tech crew.
“The Faerie King’s Daughter” is directed by Suzanne Sweeney and Assistant Director Kasi Ann Sweeney with Choreography by Jen Costa and Costumes by Carole Malik. Stefania Flecca is Play Production Coordinator.
