Rutgers University Expository Writing Institute

For the second summer in a row, RFH hosted the Rutgers University Expository Writing Institute. Eight RFH staff members from the English, Social Studies, and Math Departments participated in the rigorous, four-day program that introduced them to the pedagogy and instructional practices aligned with 101: Expository Writing, the mandatory writing course for undergraduate students at Rutgers University. The program was led by Professor Brendan Votipka, the Director of the Plangere Writing Center, and RFH participants included Ms. Erin Burke (English), Mrs. Sarah Fitzgerald (Social Studies), Mrs. Lauren Grumbach (English), Mr. Thomas Highton (Social Studies), Ms. Kali Lerner (Social Studies), Mr. Kevin Pfister (Math), Ms. Jessica Olszewski (English), and Mrs. Megan Wilkins (Social Studies). The Rutgers University Expository Writing Institute part of RFH's ongoing commitment to the expansion of writing practices across the curriculum.
