Bulldogs Kick Off on Friday 10/2

RFH Bulldogs Kick Off 2020 Football Season with Restrictions

The Bulldogs of Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School will kick off the 2020 Football Season this Friday night, October 2nd, at 7pm under the lights of Borden Stadium against Middletown High School North.  This will be the first game for both teams this year and RFH’s first home game on their newly replaced turf field. RFH had a successful summer of sports workouts and training sessions under NJSIAA guidelines and has had a successful school reopening so far, following a hybrid model which began on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.

When the Bulldogs welcome the Lions this Friday, it won’t be without new protocols and restrictions mandated by the NJSIAA.  Limited to 500 spectators for the game, most tickets have been allotted so that each RFH player, cheerleader, and band member can have two family members/friends in attendance.  Each visiting player has also been allotted two tickets.  The remaining tickets will be randomly assigned to interested students (invited to enter the lottery using their student ID numbers), one ticket per selected student, and will be free of charge.  There will be NO replacements for a lost ticket.

For fans attending this Friday’s game, each ticket will have a QR Code on the back for the COVID pre-screening form for the game.  No one will be admitted into the game without a ticket and completion of the form.  In addition, no food or drink will be permitted into the stadium and the Snack Stand will be closed.  As always, no backpacks will be allowed and all normal sportsmanlike behavior is expected.

For all those true Bulldog fans that won’t be in attendance for Friday’s home opener or other games this season, RFH will be streaming all football games played at home on the turf via NFHS, the National Federation of State High School Associations.  The link is on the RFH website.

When the Bulldogs take the field this Friday, as always, they are hoping to start the season off on a high note, show their talent and continue the program’s tradition of success.  No matter where you watch, make sure to wear your purple and white!  Go Dawgs!
