PSAT Information

Dear RFH Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, we will administer the PSAT to 10th and 11th grade students. Because of this testing, we will have an additional bus run to accommodate all 9th and 12th-grade students. These students will be picked up at their usual bus stops beginning at 9:45 AM. As noted below, 9th and 12th grade students will start school at 10:30 AM. Freshmen and Seniors are to report directly to the cafe/courtyard/gym upon arrival for common lunch.

All 10th and 11th-grade students will be picked up at their usual bus stops at the usual time. Testing begins at 7:45 AM. Testing rooms are assigned alphabetically. Any student who receives accommodations will take the assessment in an alternative location and will be notified by their counselor before testing. *Please note: The PSATs will be administered digitally this year as mandated by the College Board. Your student must bring their RFH Chromebook, which is fully charged, for testing.

The PSAT provides an excellent opportunity for 10th and 11th-grade students to estimate how well they will do on the actual SAT. The test will help students identify their areas of strength and weakness. Additionally, 11th-grade test takers may qualify for scholarships through the PSAT/NMSQT program. We strongly encouraged all 10th and 11th graders to test. For additional details, please see the attached information sheet.
