Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical

Following a festive fall musical, the Tower Players are gearing up to “throw the hammer” for their Spring musical. Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical is the captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company, with book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination, and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. Matilda (Dakota Diehl) is an incredibly intelligent little girl who is unloved by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood (Eleanor MacNeill and Emme Patel). As a punishment for her outspokenness at home, she is sent to the terrifying Crunchem Hall, where she is luckily assigned to the class of Miss Honey (Charlotte Gagliardi), a kindhearted teacher who recognizes and fosters her talents. But she soon catches the attention of the iron-fisted headmistress Miss Trunchbull (Clara Lilley), whose only pleasure is punishing students who do not follow the rules. Will Matilda be brave enough to stand up for what is right? Come and find out!
