RFH Presents "Volunteer Fair"

Dear RFH Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Students;

We are excited to announce an upcoming event at RFH that offers students a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community while earning leadership and service hours. On April 30th, we will be hosting our first-ever Volunteer Fair during Common Lunch in the Learning Commons.

A variety of organizations will be present at the event, providing students with the chance to connect with local groups in need of volunteers. By participating, students can gain valuable experience, develop leadership skills, and contribute to causes that are important to our community and local area. In addition to fulfilling service hour requirements for a variety of clubs, this event also allows students to engage in the community, which will serve them well in their future endeavors.

Over a dozen organizations have signed up to participate, and they will be available to discuss their missions and volunteer opportunities. Some of these organizations include Dermer Dreams, Lunchbreak/Family Promise, Aslan, Ridge Road Run, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Don't Shock Me, JBJ Soul Kitchen, and other worthy organizations.

Students will have the opportunity to sign up with any of these organizations to help out in various capacities for the summer or upcoming school year. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world experience and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

All students are encouraged to attend the fair, learn more about these organizations, and explore ways they can contribute to causes they are passionate about. Parents, please encourage your students to take advantage of this event, as it aligns with our mission statement to empower students to become compassionate citizens.

We are excited to see our students engage in this initiative, and we thank all the organizations for their commitment to making a difference in our community. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to me.

Sincerely,

Stephen Sarles
RFH Principal
