Sign Out Procedures and New Security Monitors

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I want to take a moment to remind you of our student sign-out procedures and to introduce two new members of our school community who will be helping us ensure safety and security at our front entrance.

As a reminder, all student sign-out requests must be submitted through the Genesis Parent Portal by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the request. Requests received before the deadline will be confirmed via email to the parent’s address on record in Genesis, and the student will be released at the requested time without requiring a parent to enter the building. Any requests entered after 8:00 a.m. cannot be processed through the portal or by phone and require a parent or guardian to come in person to sign the student out. Students may only be released from school with parent/guardian permission or an emergency contact, who presents proper identification. Please note that disciplinary consequences will be imposed for any student who leaves campus without following these procedures.

In addition, Open Campus remains a senior privilege. Underclassmen are not permitted to leave for lunch unless they are signed out and picked up in person by a parent or guardian.

To further support these procedures, I am pleased to introduce our two new Security Monitors, Mr. Martin and Mr. Tsoukaris, who will be stationed at the main entrance. Both bring extensive law-enforcement experience to their roles, and we are fortunate to have them with us. As part of their responsibilities, they will be positioned at the vestibule window of the main entrance, where they will check identification for all visitors and require any parent or guardian who did not submit a sign-out request by 8:00 a.m. to present proper ID before a student can be released.

We appreciate your cooperation in following these procedures and in welcoming Mr. Martin and Mr. Tsoukaris to our RFH community. Together, we can ensure a safe and secure environment for all of our students.

Sincerely,
Stephen Sarles
RFH Principal
