Parking and Traffic Reminders

Dear RFH Families and Students,

 

As we begin the school year, we ask for your cooperation in keeping our campus and the community safe. Please be mindful of the parking ordinances that impact nearby streets, and review the following morning drop-off guidelines for the front circle to help ensure an efficient and safe arrival for all students.

 

Front Circle Drop Off:

  • Arrive early: Dropping students off before 7:30 am is strongly recommended.
  • On-time arrival: Students are permitted only four lates per semester before a detention is assigned. All students should be in their classrooms before the bell at 7:45AM.
  • Use the full circle: Please pull all the way forward when entering the circle.  Once traffic stops, please have your child exit the car.  Traffic congestion occurs when vehicles stop directly at the front doors instead of using the entire curb.
  • Designated drop-off only: Students may not be dropped off on Ridge Road to cross the street. The front circle is the only safe, designated drop-off location.

Neighborhood Parking Ordinances:

  • Carton St.–North side: 24-hour limit. South side: no time restriction.
  • Black Point Rd.–School days only: South side, 2-hour limit (7:00 am–3:00 pm). North side: No parking.
  • West St.–North side: No parking. South side: no restrictions.
  • Blossom Rd.–School days only: 2-hour limit (7:00 am–3:00 pm) between Ridge Rd. and Robin Rd.
  • Ridge Rd.–School days only:
    • North side: 2-hour limit (7:00 am–3:00 pm) between Forrest Ave and River Rd.
    • South side: 2-hour limit (7:00 am–3:00 pm) between Blossom Rd. and River Rd.
  • Bingham Ave. – North side: 24-hour limit.
  • East River Rd. (next to tennis courts) – Borough lot: 2-hour limit.
  • Please remember: Do not block driveways or double park on Bingham Ave.
  • Students are permitted to park in the Municipal Parking Lots on Piping Rock and Black Point Road. (Please do not park in the Firehouse Parking Lot on Black Point Road where signage indicates “Permit Parking Only.”)

Additionally, the west parking lot is closed to visitors and parents from 2:30 to 3:00 pm. This lot is not available for afternoon student pick-up.
