Go to the polls on Tuesday, Oct. 2 to express your opinion. Poll locations are listed here.
Or use a mail-in ballot. New Jersey’s Vote By Mail ballot requires no reason for using that convenient way of casting a ballot; being too busy the day of the election or wanting to express one’s opinion early are valid points. There has been confusion recently about the Vote By Mail system and automatic sending of ballots, but that only impacts the November 6 General Election – not RFH’s special school election on Oct. 2. For more information about that confusion, visit the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office website.
Click here for the Vote By Mail form for RFH’s Oct. 2 referendum. The Monmouth County Clerk’s Office must receive that form by Tuesday, Sept. 25 (7 days before the referendum) to send a Vote By Mail ballot to the voter. In addition to using the postal system, that office will process requests made in person by 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1. Either way, the voter must mark the ballot and return it by 8 p.m. on the day of the referendum.
