The RFH Tower Players Present Anything Goes
Following a wonderful and whimsical fall production, the Tower Players are gearing up to set sail on another Spring musical. Cole Porter’s Anything Goes is a classic golden age musical with sweeping music that whisks its audience to a different time. The story follows a group of passengers aboard the S.S. American ocean liner. The extremely confident lounge singer and evangelist Reno Sweeney (Hailey Blum) is traveling from New York to London with her four backup dancers, her Angels. But things take an unexpected turn as she finds herself on board with her long-time crush, Billy Crocker (Christian Stone), who doesn’t seem to like her back. A charismatic and determined Billy stows away on the ship to rekindle his past rendezvous with Hope Harcourt (Gemma Formisano) who is engaged to the quirky Lord Evelyn Oakley (Connor Olson). A heartbroken Billy will do anything to regain Hope’s love, and quickly befriends fellow stowaway Public Enemy Number 13, Moonface Martin (Kole Cannon), and his sidekick, Erma (Lainie Lombardo), who aid Billy on his quest. Together, with the help of schemes, a stolen passport, and many disguises, this group of misfits plot to break up Hope and Evelyn. But will everything go as planned? You know what they say: Anything Goes! Accompanied by the incredible music of Cole Porter, watch as this fantastic story unfolds!
The Tower Players are thrilled to be working with an incredibly talented creative team this season. Advisors include KasiAnn Sweeney (Director), Anthony Pruester (Assistant Director), Amanda Gorfain (Musical Director), Donna Battaglia (Choreographer), Matthew Leddin (Technical Director), Catherine Cleary (Costume and Props Designer), and Sue Wankel (Play Production Coordinator).
