Digital Detox Days
Dear RFH Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
I am excited to share that on Wednesday, March 26th, and Wednesday, May 28th, RFH will be hosting Digital Detox Days. Digital Detox Days offer an opportunity for our students and staff to take a break from technology and re-engage in meaningful, face-to-face interactions. On these days, cell phones and all personal electronic devices will not be used during school hours, encouraging everyone to be fully present with one another. We have hosted Digital Detox Days in the past, and they have been successful experiences for our students.
In today’s world, technology plays a significant role in our daily lives, but we also recognize the value of stepping away from screens to foster deeper connections, enhance focus, and promote well-being. Through this initiative, we aim to create an environment where students and staff can engage in thoughtful discussions, hands-on activities, and uninterrupted learning.
When discussing a Digital Detox day the Student and Faculty Advisory Committees wholeheartedly support such an initiative. We ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of this initiative by discussing the benefits of a digital detox with your child. We also encourage you to consider implementing a similar practice at home, even if just for a short time each evening.
Thank you for working with us to create a balanced learning environment for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
