MOCK TRIAL

MEMBERSHIP:  Open to all students, grades 9 – 12, with an interest in law

NUMBER OF MEETINGS:  20- 40

MEETINGS:   Once a week at 6:00pm from October to December; daily in January when the competition takes place

The Mock Trial club is for those students interested in competing in the NJ State Mock Trial Competition. Students in Mock Trial will learn how to represent a client in a criminal or civil trial. Students will prepare both sides of the case for trial. Students will take on the roles of attorneys and witnesses. There will be lawyers and judges in the local community who will help the team prepare for the competition. The Monmouth County Mock Trial Competition takes place in January at the Monmouth County Courthouse in Freehold.
