New Student Registration

  • Thank you for your interest in registering your child(ren) at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School.  New student registration is completed online using the Genesis student information system.  This is for students registering for the current school year as well as prospective students. In order to complete the registration, please be sure to have the documents needed on the checklist below. Online Registration must be completed before your child's course selection appointments.     Residents: The Board shall admit students eligible to attend school free of charge who are domiciled within the district as definited in N.J.A.C. 6A:22-3.1 et. seq. To be DOMICILED in Rumson or Fair Haven, the student must treat the residence at the address provided as the permanent home, as demonstrated by sleeping in the home prior to school on in-session days. Students who are domiciled in Rumson or Fair Haven will be required to establish an electronic account and submit verification of residency.

    Former Residents: Regularly enrolled pupils, whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) move out of Rumson or Fair Haven during a school year, shall be permitted to finish the current school year in accordance with the tuition schedule on a prorata basis. Pupils who have completed a minimum of one year of residence and whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) move out of Rumson or Fair Haven after February 1 of the junior year will be permitted to attend for the remainder of the junior yer and the entire senior year upon payment of tuition on a prorata basis for a partial year and at the full annual rate for a full year. Tuition must be paid immediately upon approval for continued enrollment. If a senior moves out of the school district after December 31 of the school year, there will be no tuition charged. The Board of Education shall not be responsible for the transportation to or from school of any nonresident pupil. Parents of students who have moved out of Rumson or Fair Haven must notify the Superintendent's Office. In the event that the District learns that a family is no longer domiciled, or misled the District regarding its residency within the District, the Board reserves its right to not admit a student as a nonresident student.

    Non-residents: The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education may grant the request of parent(s) or legal guardian(s) to enroll their student at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. An application packet may be obtained from the Superintendent's Office by contacting Mrs. Mahon at amahon@rumsonfairhaven.org. Applications for the upcoming school year will be available on or about January 15 and must be received by April 15 prior to the start of the new school year. The Board of Education will grant requests on an individual basis if the student will benefit the quality of the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School educational experience.

    Registration Document Checklist

    Please use the checklist below to ensure that you have all necessary documents available during the online registration process.  ALL of the documentation listed below is required during the registration process, and your child will not be registered until all documents are received.  Please contact the RFH registrar team at genesis@rumsonfairhaven.org with any questions during the registration process.

    • Confirmation of student’s age and legal name - Copy of student’s birth certificate preferred
    • Confirmation of legal resident (copy of deed or lease, can be found online; if your current lease expires before September 1, you will be required to provide an updated lease prior to the start of the school year
    • Supplemental verification of residency - You will be required to upload two additional documents to confirm your current residency from the list of accepted documents below.  Any document uploaded must be a current document and display the residence address and the date of the document.  Other personal details do not need to be displayed and can be blacked out.
